From Offline Mode to a New Interface: Meet the New Medbridge Clinician Mobile App
Over the last several months, there’s been a lot of buzz about our new product, Medbridge Pathways. Pathways is the latest innovation within our Care portfolio of products, allowing providers to prescribe expert-backed care programs that provide personalized treatment and education to MSK patients at scale.
But today, I want to focus on Medbridge’s Educate product portfolio, and specifically, our new and improved clinician mobile app. Our mobile companion app for clinician users has been around for quite some time, available in both the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store. With ratings of 4.9 stars and 4.6 stars respectively across 100k reviews, our customers love the ability to access Medbridge education and earn CEUs anytime, anywhere—but we’re still always looking for new ways to improve and innovate.
As we continue to develop new products in areas like home health and nursing, we saw the need for offline access—particularly since home health nurses aren’t always in places with the most up-to-date high speed wifi. It became even more clear to us the importance of a companion on-the-go app that our clinical users can download to gain offline access to important functionality.
The new and improved Medbridge Educate mobile app allows users to access our robust course catalog featuring thousands of courses taught by world-class instructors across a wide range of specialties and disciplines. The interactive course content includes everything from videos, learning assessments, and practice sessions to Knowledge Tracks that streamline learning and training.
We’ve updated the app from top to bottom—building an entirely new user experience that makes it incredibly easy to manage your courses, and keep track of what’s in progress, completed, or still on your to-do list. Our new filter, sorting, and search functionality makes it easier than ever to find exactly what you’re looking for, and now you can even bookmark courses to view later.
Offline mode–our latest innovation–allows users to download courses to view whenever they‘re needed, like when you’re on a flight or in a place where you don’t have a strong internet connection. With this new functionality, the learning doesn’t have to stop just because of a bad Wi-Fi signal.
We’re also excited to announce that you can now download our popular Medbridge Podcasts and listen to them on the go via the updated Clinician Mobile App, perfect for earning CEUs and listening in as experts break down complex clinical topics during your commute.
Our new course player is also more responsive and much easier to use, and has been redesigned specifically for the ‘on-the-go’ use case so that it works as expected, similar to other music or video players.
You can now see exactly how long a course will take to watch or listen to, the minimum score required to pass, if there is an accompanying Knowledge Track version, and whether or not it’s optional to complete.
We know clinicians are incredibly busy, and that’s why we’ve redesigned the experience to make it much easier to use the app and access the most important information at all times. Whether you’re listening to a podcast during your commute, catching up with courses at the airport, or earning CEUs at a cafe on your lunch break, our new and improved clinician mobile app experience keeps your education at your fingertips.
