1. Necessity and Structure of a Functional Interview
In the first chapter of this course, Dr. Dodson discusses functional performance and the importance of including a functional interview when evaluating concussion. Participants will review four major constructs that underlie functional breakdowns and that should be included in a functional interview post-concussion.
2. Interview and Treatment: Memory Deficits
Dr. Dodson demonstrates how to conduct a functional interview of immediate, short-term, long-term, and prospective memory deficits post-concussion, as well as how to implement a treatment plan.
3. Distractibility, Organization, and Follow-Through
In the third chapter of this course, Dr. Dodson demonstrates how to conduct a functional interview of distractibility, follow-through, and organization deficits post-concussion, as well as how to implement a treatment plan.
