Physical therapy practice is a business, operating within a dynamic, ever-changing health care industry. Emerging evidence supports the need for business literacy within clinical practice. Specifically, all health care practitioners should have a fundamental knowledge and understanding of the financial, marketing, human resource, and operational functions of an organization or practice. Despite it's importance, a clear gap exists between the need for business literacy and the level of knowledge of most healthcare teams.

The purpose of this educational program is to provide professionals with an essential set of business skills that are transferable to diverse roles in all practice settings. The program will center on teaching key business metrics crucial for cultivating excellence in clinical practice and will identify how various business strategies contribute to building a vibrant ‘bottom-line’. Practical skill development will be emphasized and participants will be invited to engage interactively throughout the entire program.
