1. Preparation for Successful Presentations
This chapter will provide a clear definition of the purpose of a presentation and discuss the rationale for the importance of delivering presentations that inspire, motivate, and communicate information in a powerful way. Since planning and preparing is an essential element of successful presentation development, this chapter will also examine how to begin preparation for any professional presentation, starting with identifying the participants, performing an effective needs assessment, and developing clear, concise, and meaningful objectives.
2. Effective Presentation Content Development
Once the presentation topic has been identified, determining how to deliver the central message to your participants can be a daunting task. Effective presentations are developed in an organized fashion and should include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. This chapter will discuss strategies for effective organization and development of content for professional presentations.
3. Selecting an Effective Presentation Method
Once the content has been outlined and the messages have been identified, presentation methods can be selected. Selecting the correct method of presentation for your content can have a direct impact on the success of your presentation. This chapter will discuss the various types of presentation methods and how to determine the most effective method for your presentation.
4. Evaluation of the Presentation for Success
Evaluation of the presentation is essential for the success of achieving the stated objectives of the program. This chapter will discuss the important elements of the evaluation process and provide useful strategies to support effective evaluation of any presentation.
