1. Introduction to the Physical Therapy Evaluation Codes
This chapter will teach participants the four components of the physical therapy evaluation CPT codes and the minimum requirements that must be met for each component to bill that complexity level.
2. What are Elements and How Do We Count Them?
This chapter will focus on the examination component of the physical therapy evaluation and teach participants what are elements and how do you count them. The chapter will define and show examples of what are body structures, body functions and activity limitations and participation restrictions.
3. Physical Therapy Evaluation and Clinical Presentation
This chapter will focus on the clinical presentation component of the physical therapy evaluation. Examples of stable, evolving and changing characteristics and unstable and unpredictable characteristics will be provided to assist the physical therapist in selecting the appropriate complexity level for clinical presentation.
4. Physical Therapy Evaluation Case Scenarios: Pediatrics and Neurology
This chapter will provide case scenario’s that will teach physical therapists how to select the appropriate evaluation complexity level based on their documentation. Examples will include pediatrics and neurology.
