Aimee E. Perron

Aimee E. Perron is currently an assistant professor and associate director of clinical education at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her MS in physical therapy from Boston University and her DPT from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She has more than 27 years of experience as a physical therapist and clinical director in a multitude of clinical settings, with the majority of the experience being with older adults and people with neurological disorders. Dr. Perron is passionate and committed to clinical excellence using evidence-based and client-centered practices. She serves as a clinical leader and academic professor and strives to inspire colleagues and students to be strong advocates to ensure patients have access to care they need and are able to achieve meaningful outcomes. Dr. Perron is dedicated to lifelong learning, and through this commitment, she has become an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) board-certified specialist in neurological PT and is a certified expert for the aging adult. Additionally, Dr. Perron has presented nationally, internationally, and at APTA conferences on a variety of topics including neurological deficits, telehealth, and aging in place, and she has been an active member and leader in the APTA at both the state and national level.
