Beverly Reigle
PhD, RN
Beverly S. Reigle is an Associate Professor Emerita at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and was the Director of the Cancer Survivorship Program, University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute from 2013-2018. She received her PhD in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas; MS in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas; BS in Nursing from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois; and diploma in Nursing from West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing in Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Reigle has taught for more than 28 years in a university setting at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. She has served in leadership positions in multiple professional organizations, such as Secretary of the Sigma Theta Tau International Board of Directors, Vice President of the Southwestern Ohio Nurses Association (SONA), the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses Board of Directors, Chair of Association of Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation, Secretary of the Tri-State Oncology Nursing Society, and Secretary of the Hamilton County American Cancer Society (ACS) Board of Directors. She chaired several ACS committees at the county level (e.g., Breast Awareness Committee) and was Co-Chair of the Ohio Division Triple Touch Subcommittee and currently serves on the National Quality Forum Cancer Committee. She has conducted research that addresses the early detection of breast cancer and the role of rehabilitation and exercise in breast cancer survivors. Dr. Reigle has authored and co-authored book chapters and articles on the role of exercise in cancer survivorship. Among her awards, she received the ACS Hamilton County Unit Outstanding Leadership Award, the Southern Ohio Nurses Association Nursing Educator Award, the Distinguished Nurse Researcher Award/College of Mount St. Joseph, and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses President’s Award.
