Jean Blosser

Jean Blosser is passionate about creating systems that ensure school SLPs and educators can provide outcomes-based, educationally relevant services. To Jean, interprofessional collaboration is essential! As President of Creative Strategies for Special Education, she consults and provides workshops for schools, universities, businesses, and professional associations. Jean has published numerous resources for SLPs, educators, administrators, and parents, including: School Programs in Speech-Language Pathology: Organization and Service Delivery (Plural Publishing); Outcomes Matter in School Programs; and her fun daily activity calendar series: "Let’s Talk About It!", "Let’s Listen Today!", and "Let’s Get Organized!"

Recent publications and presentations have addressed collaboration with educators, integrating the curriculum into services for children with disabilities and engaging teachers and parents as meaningful partners. Jean's presentations are interactive, entertaining, and thought-provoking. She always shares practical materials that can immediately be used by participants. Throughout her career, Jean has focused on developing professional leaders, creating innovative solutions to school service delivery challenges, and fostering quality, efficacy, and efficiency. Her career experiences include: Professor, Department Chair, Clinic Director at The University of Akron; Vice President, Therapy Programs and Quality at Progressus Therapy; and President, Creative Strategies for Special Education. Jean was honored to be named Fellow of: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, The American Council on Education, and The Ohio Speech and Hearing Association.
