Mike Brents

Mike Brents, PT, DPT, MHA is the Managing Director of Technology Consulting for SimiTree where he leads a team of technology subject matter experts for the assessment, selection, implementation, and optimization of post-acute EHR systems and associated applications that comprise the technology ecosystem. He also provides data anlaytics consulting and innovative solutions to help clients make better data-driven decisions. Prior to joining SimiTree, he most recently served as the Chief Clinical Officer and Vice President of Informatics for CommonSpirit Health at Home and has 20 years experience in healthcare which spans home health, hospice, skilled nursing, and acute-care settings. He is a data-driven leader who has provided clinical, operational, and strategic oversight, while also serving as the business product owner for multiple EHRs, associated applications, and analytics platforms. He has served in a diverse variety of leadership roles, ranging from Manager of Clinical Excellence to Vice President of Business Intelligence. This has allowed for the development of a unique range of expertise which fosters collaboration with healthcare leaders to promote the use of technology and data in order to make better decisions, improve quality of care, and increase operational efficiency. Mike holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Health Administration from Webster University. In his spare time he enjoys boating and spending time with his wife and three children.
