Nicole Schwam
MS, OTR/L, BCP
Nicole Schwam is a pediatric occupational therapist with more than 16 years of experience. She became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2020. Nicole has worked in various hospitals across New York City, such as NYU Langone Health, New York Presbyterian Weil-Cornell, and Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, serving children from birth to age 21. Her practice spans a variety of pediatric settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and early intervention. Nicole has a wide range of interests, such as cardiac care, infants and prematurity, sensory processing and integration, autism, equipment and mobility clinics, and neuromuscular disorders like cerebral palsy and upper extremity impairments. She has presented at AOTA on her various interests, including sensory processing, equipment and power mobility, and infants with CHD in 2023 and 2024. She is an adjunct at NOVA Southeastern University in the occupational therapy department. Her goal is to bridge the gap between clinical practice and research by building programs and collecting outcomes with these populations.
