Stephen Hunter PT

DPT, OCS, FAPTA

Stephen Hunter PT, DPT, OCS, FAPTA received his Bachelor of Arts in physical therapy from University of Utah in 1984, and his clinical doctorate in 2008. He began working for Intermountain Healthcare in 1984. He is board certified in orthopedic physical therapy. Currently, Stephen is the director of Internal Process Control for Intermountain's rehabilitation services. He leads a team of 4 internal process coordinators who work to standardize evidence-based care across rehabilitation disciplines and services. He is the past president of NARA (National Association of Rehabilitation Providers and Agencies) and has served on several committees for the APTA. Stephen is a co-investigator for the pcori OPTIMIZE chronic low back pain trial. He speaks nationally and has authored or co-authored several manuscripts establishing the value of physical therapy.
