Aging in Place: The Clinician’s Role

Description

Aging in the familiar environment of home is the desire of most older individuals. Unfortunately, a number of barriers can interfere with achieving that goal. This webinar will provide clinicians with the tools they need to identify those barriers and to build management plans that will enable our clients
to age in place successfully and safely.

Participants will be provided with practical strategies to reduce fall risk, improve nutrition and hydration, and improve health management skills in older adults, with a focus on physical activity and exercise as they relate to successful aging in general, and to swallow function specifically.
