1. Application of RCA to Resident Falls in Nursing Homes

Unlike many clinical conditions that have limited and defined causes and interventions, a fall is not just a fall. Falls are symptoms that can indicate intrinsic, extrinsic and systemic conditions are amiss. Each fall has unique and individual causes that require unique and individual interventions.

2. Fall Prevention and Management Process and Tools for Nursing Homes

While not all falls can be mitigated, their occurrence can be lessened through the diligent and consistent use of root cause analysis process and tools. Empira has created several tools to bring this complex theory to practical application in the nursing home.
