This chapter will share tips for successful treatment in pediatric hand therapy, including how to deal with scheduling issues, establish rapport, enhance motion, encourage use of weak extremity, and make therapy fun and engaging for the child.
2. Treatment for Common Upper Extremity Pediatric Conditions
This chapter will present the most common pediatric upper extremity injuries and conditions with upper extremity involvement. The authors will provide suggestions for treatment techniques and use of orthoses if indicated.
