1. DKA and HHS
Diabetic complications including diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state are possible in the patient in the post-acute care setting. Early recognition of diabetic complications is vital to maintenance of patient health. This chapter reviews diabetic complications, as well as early and late signs for which to monitor.
2. Hypoglycemia
This chapter covers additional diabetes complications including hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, and implications of the maintenance of patient help.
