1. Overcoming Obstacles in Pediatric Teletherapy
Chapter 1 addresses obstacles common to pediatric teletherapy. These include attention and behavior problems during sessions as well as limited therapy tools. Therapists need to understand why it is important to create a session plan focused on what each individual child enjoys and what readily available materials can be used creatively for engaging a child.
2. Themed-Based Teletherapy Activities: Nature
Chapter 2 looks at nature-theme-based teletherapy activities using ordinary items. Step-by-step instructions for teletherapy activities with themes such as flowers, ocean, butterflies, and animals are discussed. It is important for therapists to have a list of ready-to-implement teletherapy activities that develop sensory and motor skills in children.
3. Themed-Based Teletherapy Activities: Pirates
Chapter 3 looks at pirate-theme-based teletherapy activities using ordinary items. Step-by-step instructions for teletherapy activities are discussed on how to make a paper sailboat pirate ship, island hopping with pillows, drawing a treasure map, and more.
