What is the current evidence-based research on a variety of pediatric diagnoses, including Cerebral Palsy, Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, and the medically fragile, and how do I apply this research to my clinical practice? This course will review the current evidence-based research on the effects of aquatic physical therapy. Participants in this course will gain knowledge of current evidence-based studies and be more successful with establishing treatment for children with these diagnoses.

Current evidence-based research will be reviewed on aquatic therapy with the pediatric Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy population. This research is important in determining if it supports aquatic therapy as a successful treatment approach for therapy. Treatment techniques will be demonstrated that support this research and/or diagnosis.

Pediatric Down Syndrome Population

3. Pediatric Down Syndrome Population

Current evidence-based research will be reviewed on aquatic therapy with the pediatric Down Syndrome population. This research is important in determining if it supports aquatic therapy as a successful treatment approach for therapy. Treatment techniques will be demonstrated that support this research and/or diagnosis.

Pediatric Medically Fragile Population

4. Pediatric Medically Fragile Population

Current evidence-based research will be reviewed on aquatic therapy with the pediatric Medically Fragile population. This research is important in determining if it supports aquatic therapy as a successful treatment approach for therapy. Treatment techniques will be demonstrated that support this research and/or diagnosis.
