In this course, occupational and physical therapists will learn about the products and process for using polyester cast tape in a variety of pediatric diagnoses for both the upper and lower extremities. This chapter will cover the creativity and flexibility of polyester cast tape. It will teach the pros and cons of choosing a polyester cast tape for your patient. It describes the benefits of the products as well as the easy removal process.

2. Differential Diagnosis: Who Should Be Casted With This Technique?

This chapter discusses the endless uses of polyester cast tape. It will describe pediatric diagnoses that may benefit from this casting technique. We will discuss how the cast can be used, as well as how it can be made into a variety of removable orthoses.

3. Step-by-Step Guide for Using Polyester Cast Tape

This chapter will discuss the importance of discussing casting with your pediatric patient using child-friendly language and tips for a successful casting session.
