What is the most challenging diagnosis you see in the hand clinic? This course also covers post-op expectations with surgical intervention for SL repair/reconstruction as well as salvage procedures due to scapholunate advanced collapse.

1. Understanding Wrist Mechanics Following Scapholunate Injury
This chapter covers the pathomechanics of SL injury and the progression from predynamic to static instability. Clinical testing to determine predynamic instability will be covered to set the stage for conservative management.
2. Conservative Management of Predynamic SL Instability
This chapter covers key elements of rehabilitation for predynamic SL instability. These include use of a protective orthosis, manual therapy techniques to address adjacent hypomobile segments, proprioceptive training, and muscle training to maximize recovery.
3. Therapy Considerations Following Scapholunate Repair/Reconstruction and Salvage Procedures
This chapter reviews surgical procedures to address SL injury with clinical expectations for therapy. It also addresses surgical intervention for scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC) and expected outcomes to share with your patient.
