Maintaining access to the bathroom, and the ability to maintain daily activities of toileting, bathing, and grooming, are essential to allowing disabled persons to remain in the community. This course is the first in a two-part series on bathroom solutions, with Marnie Renda. The first installment introduces the problems faced and provides foundational knowledge for problem solving via accurate assessment and measurements. Students who complete this course will be able to assess toilet and bathroom layouts, evaluate the pros and cons of various options, and provide both simple and more complex solutions.
