Effective modification of entrance barriers is an important first step for persons with disabilities to be able to live in their communities and age in place. This course provides the foundation of knowledge necessary to evaluate and make effective recommendations for the modification of entrances. Marnie Renda presents and contextualizes ADA recommendations for entrance measurement and evaluation, and provides problem solving strategies for patients in a wide variety of situations. The course draws on numerous real world examples to build critical reasoning skills and spark student’s creativity. The course also includes a question and answer session with a practicing therapist, to further explore problem solving in the field.
