Digital therapy, in combination with enhanced patient–provider relationships and the use of motivational/marketing psychology, can drastically improve the odds of patient home exercise program adherence. This short lecture includes an overview of current research on digital therapy and discusses the impact of digital therapy on patient satisfaction and HEP adherence. Research shows that digital therapy by itself has advantages over standardized therapy in facilitating adherence to exercise programs.
